Welcome to this space! For as long as I can remember, I have struggled with the complex beliefs, labels, and anxieties surrounding my own body and food. It took me years to realize that navigating these struggles wasn't just a mental hurdle, but a deeply spiritual one. I am creating this blog to serve as a compassionate, spiritual guide for all of you, but it is also very much a personal journey of my own. I wanted a soft, grace-filled corner where we could unlearn the heavy rules of the world together and look at what it truly means to care for ourselves.

That is why I want this blog to be a gentle space where we can practice mindful stewardship of our bodies and our food together. Scripture reminds us that we are not our own; we were bought at an incredible price, and we are invited to glorify God with these physical bodies He gave us (1 Cor. 6:9-10). Romans 12:1 urges us to present our daily lives as a living sacrifice to Him--treating our everyday routines as a sweet and true act of worship to our loving Father. Ultimately, this means that learning to slow down, regulate our hearts, and gently steward both our thoughts and what we consume is just a beautiful, dedicated way to say 'thank you' to our Creator (1 Cor. 10:31).

I am so incredibly glad that you are here at the table with me. Before you go, let's start our journey with a little reflection in the comments:

What is one thought, habit, or worry around food or your body that you are wanting to give to God this week as an act of worship?

With grace,

Elizabeth
